Liteon / JLMS support for their DVD-ROM drives

I'm a fan of Liteon drives, but I was never crazy about their support and after sale service.

That their DVD drives section has become JLMS  (due to a merge with JVC) I can understand. That they moved the DVD support site I can understand as well. What I can not understand is that they didn't bother to tell anybody about it!  From one day to the other, all DVD support has disappeared from the Liteon-it site without  a word, without directing the customers to the new site, or telling them about the new site at all. Pure outrage!

Further more, this new corporation, JLMS, has decided to change all drives names from LTD -xxx   to XJ-HD xxx  which should have been no problem if the customers knew about it.

As it is, countless people who have bought a Liteon LTD dvd drive don't know where to turn for support at all! If they go to any Liteon site, they don't find a word about their drive and if by luck they did hear of the Jlms site, they can't recognize their drive there. Also, thousands of LTD-122 drives owners are left totally in the cold - it's like their drives do not exist at all...

For the benefit of Liteon/Jlms drives owners, here's a list of their support links:

UPDATE (July 06 2005)
Liteon has added a DVD-ROM product page and a firmware download page for their SOHD-167T and SOHD-16P9S drives!

March 2007:

JLMS SUPPORT HAS BEEN DISCONTIUED!

The web site has quietly disapeared. I can't say I'm surprised, they never really cared.

Following are JLMS email links. Click according to your location to mail them directly, I doubt you get a response though.
